How to use the Planner Overview
Budgeting and forecasting can be a challenge, which is why we've designed our forecast models to
include a range of analysis features to better understand your income and expenses.
Below is a step-by-step guide on how to use the forecast module.
Models in the forecast process
- Revenue Planner: this forecast model is designed to help you plan and manage
your revenues, cost of goods, and the resulting gross margins. Using the zero-based
budgeting method, you can create separate budgets for each year, company, and revenue type.
- Staff Planner: this forecast model is designed to help you plan your salaries
and wages for each year and company. Using the zero-based method, you can enter
details for each employee. The costs will be distributed over the months in the year,
based on the duration of employment.
- Expense Planner: this forecast model is designed to help you plan your
department expenses for each year and company. Using the zero-based method, you can
enter details for each expense type by month. The forecast submissions can be delegated to
each department.
- Asset Planner: this forecast model is designed to help you plan your fixed
assets and associated depreciation for each year and company. Using the zero-based
method, you can enter details for each asset by month.
- Cashflow Planner: this forecast model is designed to help you plan and manage
your cash inflows and outflows, and therefore your future liquidity. It automatically uses
all data from the other forecast models.
